Salam! I’m Heifa and I’m so excited you’re here!
I’m a first-generation Palestinian American raised in NJ but now calls Chicago home. I am the founder, recipe developer, and food photographer behind Fufu’s Kitchen. And if you are wondering, Fufu is my nickname-it just stuck!
Growing up in a Middle Eastern household, our day was often centered around food, specifically traditional Arab cuisine. I loved watching my mom in the kitchen, but she never had proper measurements for her recipes. After moving, I missed her cooking and took it upon myself to learn, preserve, and document the dishes I loved so much. And that is how this blog was born!
Fast forward a few years, and I am also the cookbook author of Dine in Palestine, a collection of 60 recipes from my family to your table.
Here at Fufu’s Kitchen, you’ll find many classic Arab dishes, traditional Palestinian meals, or recipes inspired by the flavors of my homeland and upbringing. As a mom to a toddler, I know how little time there is to get food on the table. I do my best to create approachable recipes for the whole family. I want you to feel more confident in the kitchen and realize that making delicious food can be easy.

Best,
Heifa
