Cajun Creamy Pasta

Cajun Creamy Pasta bow ties in a bowl with chopped pepper slices

Hey friends! Do I got an easy and delicious recipe to share with you! This cajun creamy pasta is the perfect quick weeknight meal. It is so full of flavor and luscious; trust me you will not get enough. I am a big fan of pasta but I don’t eat it too often. Every now and then I like to indulge and this is one of my favorite ways to enjoy it.

This cajun creamy pasta was actually was inspired by Cheesecake Factory’s Louisiana Pasta when I came up with this recipe. That was the pasta dish my friends and I would almost always get when we dined there and I miss those days! So, I thought let me make something quite similar now that it has been on my mind. I also know you will thoroughly enjoy it!

It isn’t as spicy as it may sound but you can always play around with the heat level to make it more personalized to your preference. Also, this pasta is fantastic with some chicken breast or shrimp if you would like that added protein to the meal. But regardless, it is still hearty and filling. I personally like to enjoy it as is. I love those bits of bell pepper in there too. YUM!

Made this tonight for dinner with blackened shrimp. It was so delicious! I made it dairy free by swapping the butter for olive oil, the cream for silk half and half, and the parmesan for nutritional yeast. It was a great, quick and delicious weeknight meal – my whole family loved it!

Just made this last night for my family and it was a bit ! The first thing my husband said was “wow this reminds me of the pasta I like from Cheesecake Factory , but better !”
I halved the whipping cream and put more broth instead for less calories and it was still great ! I paired it with deep fried shrimp.

Made this for iftar last week and paired it with Parmesean Herb Crusted chicken. WOW it was delicious! The heat was perfect for my husband and I (a tad too spicy for my kids but next time I plan to separate some of the cream sauce for them before adding the red pepper flakes). It was so easy to prepare and versatile for different protein additions or as a flavorful side! Its definitely going to be a regular for us!

  9. This dish was a hit in my family! Everyone is asking me for the recipe. We like spicy so It worked out well but if you don’t make sure to cut down on the chili pepper or just leave it out. ☺️

  10. I really wanted to try this. Can this be made without Parmesan? How I can adjust the recipe if I don’t have Parmesan?

    1. Hi! This can most definitely be made without Parmesan cheese. Maybe, add a tiny bit more of corn starch to thicken the sauce and feel free to add shredded cheese of your choice too if you like.
