    Sfeeha (Middle Eastern meat Pies)

Good morning lovely friends! Today, I present to you Sfeeha. These Middle Eastern Meat pies are to die for any time of the day. My husband is a big fan of making dough. He is an even bigger fan of eating red meat. So, you can say that this is right up his alley. I have been meaning to make meat pies for a while now; I haven’t made these in 2 years! Yesterday, the weather was gloomy and snowing in Chicago and made for the perfect day to stay in and bake with my husband. I added the easy dough recipe below which is delicious for pizza nights too!…

    Easy Dough Recipe

Hi, my beautiful friends! Happy New Year! I wanted to start this decade with this fabulous easy dough recipe that I adapted from my mother who is my inspiration in the kitchen. This recipe only takes a few ingredients and some patience for an incredibly fluffy dough that can be topped or stuffed with whatever your heart desires. This recipe can be vegan if the dry milk powder is omitted. I have not tested gluten-free flour using this recipe but I can imagine Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 baking flour may work as a substitute for the all-purpose flour or even almond flour. Let me know if you try! My mom…

    Fruit Cocktail with Ashta

This summer my parents went overseas to Palestine and Jordan to visit our extended family. On one occasion, my parents were downtown enjoying a fruit cocktail. This is a treat that I almost always purchased when I would go out to the city at a cafe. I know you may think cocktail and automatically figure it is some sort of a drink but no, it is just like a fruit parfait. Think of all fresh seasonal fruits layered with creamy Ashta infused with orange blossom water then topped with nutty pistachios and a drizzle of honey or syrup. My summer nights overseas consisted of these. Last night, we had friends…

    Loaded Greek Fries

Is anyone else obsessed with fries? I’m that person who almost always orders fries with a meal when eating out. I know, so bad but so good. Not to worry guys, I stopped eating fried fries and now just eat either roasted potatoes or oven-baked crispy fries to satisfy that craving and feel less guilty. This recipe right here is my favorite version to eat fries. It has all the things that I love. Who can say no to garlic, feta, oregano, and lemon? They work so beautifully together. I first had Greek fries at a local cafe in NJ; one that I would frequent often with my friends. They…

    Easy Healthy Homemade Granola

Hey friends! I was shopping the other day, and I bought some dairy-free coconut yogurt. My favorite topping on yogurt is granola! So, the next day I made some delicious granola to eat with my yogurt and I had to share the recipe with you guys. I haven’t purchased granola in a long time because most of the ones in the market are full of sugar! The ones that are “healthy” are so expensive so I started making my own. My husband loves to snack on it or eat it with almond milk. You can’t go wrong with making granola. There are so many variations! It takes less than 30 minutes too.…

    Gluten Free Herb Crackers

I like to snack. You will always find me nibbling on something especially when I am too lazy to make a meal.
