Turkish Chicken & Flatbread

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. I am so excited because I have my parents in town visiting me from New Jersey, my home state. Whenever my parents and I get together; it is always a great time. I missed them so much so you can only imagine how happy I am! Much of my cooking has been influenced by my mother who is a phenomenal cook. Anything she touches becomes gold. One of the dishes she has been making as of the last few years is this Turkish chicken and flatbread which my entire family enjoys.

The flavors are inspired by Turkey where they use so many fresh vibrant ingredients in their cooking just like we will be using a fresh salsa to season both the chicken and bread. As a Palestinian, our traditional dish is mskhan which I will be sharing the recipe for soon as well. Mskahan includes a flatbread, lots of cooked onions, sumac, and chicken. It is quite similar to this recipe but more inspired by Turkish flavors. I really hope you give this Turkish Chicken & Flatbread a try. This recipe is quite simple to follow as it is really straightforward in ingredients and instructions. There are photos to help guide you through the process as well. Make this and let me know what you think!

This is one of many recipes that I will be sharing throughout the month inspired by my Mama’s cooking. We have so much in store for you while she is here. As she can’t get away from the kitchen like myself, even if on vacation! So stay tuned for so many more delicious recipes. Make sure to subscribe to my email list to be notified of a new recipe. Give this a try and let me know what you think!
